8/10/2017 0 Comments Hello? Hello!Hello reader!
This website has been inactive for awhile. My personal passion of writing hasn't fizzled out, so to speak, although for a little while there it did take a backseat. As of yesterday, I just finished my first semester of community college! I'm on a month long break, and I can't wait to make major progress in my writing endeavors. However, writing is only one piece of the puzzle. I've neglected to make any buzz about my books. For this next month, I'm going to invest a lot more time and energy into my beloved pet project the Shinobi 7 Series. College has been an amazing experience, and I'm looking forward to my spring semester. I don't consider myself an expert by any means in the publishing field. I've written and published books which I am immensely proud of, but there is always much more to learn. To everyone who has clicked on this website and read what I've had to say (or skimmed it, haha) I say thank you very much. I will strive to put a lot more content. Hopefully, with a little time and hard work, this website and the books will thrive a little more! Happy holidays!!! ~Lily

6/23/2017 0 Comments Shinobi 7: The Revised SeriesHello!
This is the first blog entry that I've made to my website, and there will be many more to come! I'm pleased to say that a major stage in my Shinobi 7 Series has been completed. The two full length novels Trials of a Warrior and Poisoned Battleground, have been updated to second editions, as well as the companion book Clash of the Clans. For those of you who don't know my story, I'll explain a bit about my journey as an author thus far. I published my first novel, Trials of a Warrior, when I was a young teen. I knew very little about the self-publishing world, yet I was so excited to get my work out there that I published it anyway. There were many people that I met throughout my time selling books at various book stores and anime conventions. They were very kind and supportive of my novel, and I had a small success in selling my books. In the two years that I sold the first editions of my Shinobi 7 Series, my older versions are out there. I've come a long way since my first published novel. I've grown as an author and my writing has matured over time, as it naturally would! I decided to revise my entire series. The heart of the books remains, and most of the original writing remains. The book is better updated, formatted, and polished to something that I'm truly proud of. Now that the brunt of the hard work is through, I'm able to focus on finishing my series and publish the unpublished books. I hope to have another companion book released this year, as well as the third full length novel of the series! I have nothing but gratitude for those of you who have stuck by me since 2013, who have waited for the series to continue, and who have supported me and my growth. A major obstacle has been conquered, and from here on, there will be much more! So, without anymore wasted time, I'd like to reveal the new covers of the second editions! The two full length books, Trials of a Warrior and Poisoned Battleground are now available on Kindle and Amazon! The front covers are below: |
About L. BenitezL. Benitez was born and raised in Southern California and is now a resident of Mississippi. She wishes she could have been born and raised in an ancient ninja clan— so much for that wish. She is a dedicated practitioner of Shotokan Karate and a huge fangirl of the Martial Arts. L. enjoys writing and drawing her own illustrations; she aspires to continue doing what she loves. She's a fan of anything action-packed and adrenaline racing. When she's not sketching or writing, L. likes to cook, read, and play with her Siamese kitty. She tries her best to mimic the awesome ninjas you see on TV— but ends up looking like a dork. So instead L. settles on the title 'ninja-in-training'. Let's face it, if L. really was a ninja, you wouldn't be able to see her, would you? ArchivesCategories |
